About us

Latvian Television is a non-profit limited liability company which is owned by the state.  Approximately 60% of LTV financing comes from the national budget, while the rest must be earned by the television station itself through its activities and the sale of advertising.

Latvian Television is a public broadcasting organisation whose work is supervised by the National Council of Electronic Mass Media.
The work is also regulated by various laws and regulations:

  • The law on radio and television
  • The law on archives
  • The national concept on the development of electronic public communications resources in Latvia, 2006-2008
  • The National Council for Electronic Media concept on the introduction of terrestrial digital television in Latvia.

Facilities
